Resources for learning English in Internet
It is the first time I post an entry in English in this blog. Despite I said that I would post in Basque, in Spanish and in English, real life makes me write in my every day languages: Basque and Spanish.
Anyway, I try to follow learning and making better my language skills in English.
So I would like to present you what kind of resources I use for learning English in the net.
Internet is a god place for getting free resources in English: ebooks, videos,… But sometimes there are too many.
Of course, I have my favorites:
- If you want to work hard you can try Breaking News English. In this website you can read or listen news and do alo of exercises with them.
- Other place I like is English as a Second Language Podcast. Small listening that enjoy.
- With Yappr you can practise your English using subtitled videos.
- I also use dictionaries on line. My favorites are Morris and Opentrand.
Anyway, my last favorite is an interactive dictionary I have notice by Diario Linux. It is a very easy to use plugin for Firefox. It is called WordReference Translator. With this plugin you can select a word you don’t know, push the "d" character in your keyboard and a new tab in firefox will be open with a lot information about your word.
Other resource I will use is writing post in the blog. But it is very hard for me. Anyway I’lll try.
What are your favorite resources?
P.D.: If there is any English teacher out there, could you correct my first post in English, please? All suggestions are welcome.
